Strengthening Ties with Luxembourg: Ambassador Tshoki Choden Assumes Role

In a historic moment bolstering international relations, Ambassador Tshoki Choden of the Kingdom of Bhutan has officially commenced her duties as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. On February 8, Ambassador Choden presented her Letters of Credence to His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri, marking the beginning of a new chapter in diplomatic exchanges between the two nations.

Following the formal presentation ceremony, Ambassador Choden was graciously received by His Royal Highness The Grand Duke, who extended his congratulations on her appointment as the inaugural Ambassador of Bhutan to Luxembourg. In a gesture of goodwill, His Royal Highness expressed his hopes for the success of Ambassador Choden in her endeavors to fortify the bonds of friendship and cooperation between their respective countries.

A press release from Bhutan’s foreign ministry detailed the exchange, highlighting the warmth with which Ambassador Choden conveyed greetings from Bhutan’s sovereigns, including His Majesty The King, Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen, and His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo, to Their Royal Highnesses The Grand Duke and Duchess of Luxembourg.

Acknowledging the longstanding support Bhutan has received from the European Union, of which Luxembourg is a founding member, Ambassador Choden expressed sincere appreciation on behalf of the Royal Government. Moreover, she reiterated Bhutan’s commitment to enhancing bilateral relations and fostering cooperation with Luxembourg on various fronts.

Ambassador Choden, stationed in Brussels, Belgium, assumes her role as the first Ambassador of Bhutan to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
