His Majesty the King conferred the National Order of Merit (Gold) on Goonglen Wom Chencho Dorji and Goonglen Wom Sangay Thinley during the 118th National Day celebrations.
The award recognizes their loyalty and contributions to the nation, honoring their service to the Fourth Druk Gyalpo.
Goonglen Wom Chencho Dorji, marking 50 years of service, served as Aide-de-Camp to the Fourth Druk Gyalpo after beginning his career in the military.
Goonglen Wom Sangay Thinley expressed gratitude for the recognition of his 40 years of service to the Fourth Druk Gyalpo, having served in the Royal Bhutan Army and RBG.
Both recipients have received prior honors and continue their service, with Goonglen Wom Sangay Thinley currently serving as Secretary to the Fourth King.
