Chamkhar Town Comes Alive with National Day Excitement

Dear Editor,

I want to write few lines about the coming 118th National Day celebration in Chamkhar Town. These days the town is very busy and full of life. Everywhere people are moving, cleaning, decorating, and preparing. One can feel special excitement in the air.

This National Day is very important for many people. For lifelong Bhutanese like Dorji Nidup, it is not just a holiday but a moment of pride and deep feeling for the country. For young performers like Pema Tashi and Sonam Choki also, it is a big honor to take part. They practice many hours, sometimes tired, but still happy because they serve the nation through performance.

The celebration also helps local economy. Hotels are fully booked and shops, restaurants, and small businesses are doing good business. Many visitors are coming from different places, and this brings more income to the town. People are happy because National Day not only gives joy but also supports livelihoods.

Preparations are going on seriously. Rehearsals are happening every day, roads and stages are being prepared, and decorations are put around the town. It is expected that around 20,000 people will gather, which is very big for Chamkhar.

For all of us, National Day is a time of devotion, unity, and shared happiness. It reminds us who we are and why we are proud to be Bhutanese.

Yours sincerely,
Ugyen Norbu
