Dear Editor Sir,
I’m writing to highlight the impressive progress of the Prison-based Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Treatment and Care Programme—a joint initiative by The PEMA Secretariat and the Royal Bhutan Police that launched in 2023. This programme has already helped 242 convicts complete their treatment, and it is encouraging to see 280 inmates currently receiving support at Chamgang Central Prison (255 inmates) and Lungzor Prison (25 inmates).
It’s inspiring to see such dedicated efforts in helping individuals overcome challenges and make positive changes. Hoping for you to cover this important initiative.
