The Bhutanese Community in The Netherlands (BCN) completed its financial assistance programme to support Bhutanese refugees who have been affected by COVID-19 or with other special needs.
The campaign started in May this year with fundraising appeal. A total of 71 individuals contributed €3,093 (US$3500). The relief support distribution was coordinated by Dr Bhampa Rai.
Very needy, sick, COVID-19 effected families, vulnerable family members of political prisoners and other vulnerable individuals living in Beldangi and Sanischare Camp were supplied with basic food items, medical equipment and cash where necessary to buy medicines and other daily consumables.
The distributions took place in stage by identifying the specific needs of the people.BCN president Aiman Samal and campaign coordinator Ram Karki thanked everyone for their help and donations.
